China Immersion’s Mandarin Immersion program provides the intensive learning experience you need to become fluent in a language spoken by 20% of the world. Our language schools are located in Tianjin, China, the center of pure Mandarin Chinese.
Curriculum – Students will study from a variety of textbooks published by top universities specializing in teaching Mandarin Chinese as a second language. Many supplementary resources such as MP3s, study tools, and web links will be provided to students.
Focus – Students can select between Mandarin courses focuses on Chinese reading, writing, speaking, or listening.
Homework – Students will be expected to complete daily assignments and review content from Mandarin class.
Evaluation – Quizzes and unit test will be administered to ensure language progress.
Teachers – China Immersion has partnered with Tianjin Normal University and 12 year old private Chinese language institute to provide Chinese courses. All Mandarin Chinese teachers are professional, qualified and have a background in teaching Chinese to foreign students.
HSK testing – The internationally recognized Mandarin Chinese proficiency test (汉语水平考试AKA HSK) is offered at the beginning of each month at multiple locations in Tianjin, China.
Language and culture activities – Students can take part in our regular language and culture activities. As we have partnered with many institutions throughout Tianjin we want to give you opportunities to spread your personal network with Chinese locals. In addition, China Immersion will arrange excursions to local tourist spots.
Completion – Upon completion of your Mandarin Chinese courses China Immersion will issue a study certificate which can be added as an international study experience on your resume.

With over 1.3 billion Chinese citizens and China towns in every major hub in the world it’s only natural that professionals wanting to stay competitive in job market would choose to study Mandarin Chinese.
Learning Resources – With the rise of China in the past decade the Chinese government along with private companies and Mandarin enthusiasts have established a plethora of learning communities, learning tools, and curriculum to make it easy. There has never been an easier time to learn Mandarin Chinese than now.
Immersion through living – Surrounded by Chinese people and attending daily Mandarin classes your mind will begin to think in Chinese. Every time you walk outside, order food, pay your cell phone bill, your Mandarin Chinese will be utilized. Students will discover Chinese culture and the great hospitality of Chinese people. Make Chinese friends through our culture events or meet locals at the market, take advantage of these opportunities to not only practice your spoken Mandarin, but to ask questions and learn about the Chinese culture. That’s why our students attending university will return to their home country and test out of one, two, or even three Chinese language classes.
Understand the culture – We encourage all students to venture outside Chinese school and their living quarters to discover what China has to offer. Try out the spicy dishes of a Sichuan restaurant, invite a friend to drink traditional green tea, ride a bicycle through the streets. With a better understanding of the 5,000 Chinese culture learning Mandarin will only become easier as you find the culture and language are beautifully intertwined.
